; it is best to
use virtualenv and pip to handle these. But if you insist on (Arch GNU/Linux)
packages, you will probably want the following:
- django
- python-markdown
- python-memcached
Testing Installation

Clone personal-site
$ git clone https://libregit.org/heckyel/personal-site.git

Run
virtualenv
.$ cd personal-site && virtualenv ./venv/

Activate the virtualenv.
$ source ./venv/bin/activate

Install dependencies through
pip
.$ pip install -r requirements.txt
-
Copy
settings.py.example
tosettings.py
and modify. Make sure to uncomment the appropriate database section (either sqlite or PostgreSQL).$ cp -v personalsite/settings.py.example personalsite/settings.py

Check syntax.
$ python manage.py check --deploy
-
Migrate changes.
$ python manage.py migrate
-
Create superUSER
$ python manage.py createsuperuser
-
Use the following commands to start a service instance
$ python manage.py runserver
